Our Mission
The Center for Global Opportunities exists to promote a vision for and participation in 21st century Gospel expansion.
Bob Jones University is all about the Gospel.
The CGO is all about helping students connect the Gospel to every person on the planet –  whether a person at a Greenville coffee shop or people in faraway China. The CGO is not about a new room or a new name. It’s about all of us as a BJU community working together for what’s most important – the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Team

Mark Vowels
Director
  • Has been a pastor, a missionary, and a teacher.
  • Served missionaries in more than 40 countries.
  • Passionate about connecting students with opportunities to use their skills and interests both locally and globally.
Bryan Cardenas Terrazas
Assistant Coordinator of Outreach and Evangelism
  • Served as a pastoral intern, substance abuse counselor, and mission team member.
  • A recent graduate in Ministry and Leadership from BJU.
  • Passionate about mentoring students and helping them have gospel opportunities.
Juan Brea
Administrative Assistant
  • Served as Inter-Society Council Director on the Student Leadership Council.
  • A recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering from BJU.
  • Passionate about leadership development and mentoring students from different countries.
Ruth Urraca
International Student Mentor
  • Served as a foster care intern and involved in BJU student leadership.
  • A recent graduate in Educational Studies from BJU. 
  • Passionate about mentoring and building connections with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
